It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley D. Johns (Newark, Delaware), born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on March 28, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Diffenderfer (Shank) and Lyle Diffenderfer; and her close friend Joan Mayhart. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth, John Abel of Fleming Island, FL, Kathryn (John Watkins) and Cynthia Nash (George); her grandchildren, Jason Johns, Jeff Stefanisko (Krista), Scott Shipley (Kimberly), Christopher Nash (Meghan), Valerie Lorenz, Jillian Welch (Chris) and Abigail Miller; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Ella, Avian, Tatum, Olivia, Èja, Preston, Joseph, Anthony and Bella; and her close friends, Vasantha Nagarajan and Bonnie Hollett.
