He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Benson, Sr. and Rosella M. Benson; and his siblings, Edward L. Burks, Carolyn Garcia, Teri Benson and Angela Benson.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvester (Tabitha), Katrina Miller-Mitchell, Kiwana Wayman and Rodney Watson; his siblings, David Benson, Kenneth Burks, Marie Lopez (Steve) and Donna Duker; his niece Janice Burks; and his friends, Dorsey Watson, Malcolm Tiller, Sr., Lawence Pierce and Joseph Stigars. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
