He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Albert Hafner and Anna Eugenia Hafner; his wife Anne Hafner (McCabe); his son Robert J. Hafner; and his siblings, Richard, Doris, Louise, Jeannie, John, Marianne, Amy Louise and Raymond.
He is survived by: his son Mike; his daughter-in-law Barbara Hafner of Newark; and his grandchildren, Seth, Karianne and Sarah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
