He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Fritz Jobst and Hildegard Jobst (Leonhardt); his daughter Ulrike Spencer; and his sisters, Gisela Proppe, Rosemarie Furler and Sigrid Hess.
He is survived by: his sibling Eberhard Jobst of Freiburg; his children, Sabine Jobst of Eden Prairie, MN and Gernot Jobst (Laurie) of Newark; his grandchildren, Emily Jobst, Hannah Geanopoulos (Steffan), Abigail Jobst, Shannon Casazza, Alexa Casazza and Jean Casazza; and his great grandchildren, Lucas Geanopoulos and Madelyn Geanopoulos.
