He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather David; his wife Barbara; his sons, David Jr. (Cheryl) and Christopher (Debbie); his grandsons, David III (Mia) and Matthew; his great grandchild Kateryna; his pet Cinco; and his parents, Albert Bartges and Mary Adda Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Community Lutheran Church, South Coastal Village Volunteers or the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
