With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Saldky of Ocean View, Delaware, who passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Dorothy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bauer and Emmy Bauer (Gunther); her husband Fred Meyer; and her siblings, Jack Bauer, Lorraine Ciminio and Louise Fergueson.
She is survived by: her sister Pearl Shapiro of Ocean View, DE. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Dottie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital http://www.stjude.org or to a veterans' organization of your choice.
