He is survived by: his wife Maria Elena Sarate; his daughters, Elizabeth Sarate (Mike Kirkpatrick) and Gabrielle Myers; his grandchildren, Vivian, Liam and Samantha; his brother Daniel Sarate; and his nephews, Bryan and Jeffrey Williams.
