He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman G. Oberg, II and Ethel Lillian Oberg (Gay); and his sister Joann Toner. He is survived by: his wife Mary A. Oberg; his sons, Chuck Smith (Alicia) and Jason Smith (Pamela); and his grandchildren, Isabella (Matthew), Nathan, Ashlyn and Charlie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
