He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Francis Barrett and Margaret Barrett (Walsh); and his brothers, Joseph Barrett, Francis Barrett and William Barrett.
He is survived by: his wife Joan V. Barrett (Lyncheski); his children, John A. Barrett, Jr. (Beth) of Glen Mills and Stephanie McCall (James A. McCall III) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his granddaughters, Devin McCall, Anna Barrett, Chloe McCall, Ava Barrett and Evlin McCall; and his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Barrett of West Chester, Sondra Barrett of Green Lane and Lynda Barrett of Newark. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
