With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Lawrence Newell of Ocean View, Delaware, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on April 7, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel Lee and Mary Clare Appel Newell; and his brothers, Christopher and Gregory Newell. He is survived by : his son Walter N. Newell; his stepchildren, John, James Mansfield and Beverly Kelly; his former life partner Marjorie Louise Newell; and his siblings, Eva Newell, Daniel Newell and Mary Carol Jeppi (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel (11605 Reisterstown Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (65 Sacred Heart Ln, Reisterstown, MD 21136).
