He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward Morgan, Sr. and Marion Morgan. He is survived by: his daughters, Dr. Kathryn M. Lightcap, Sandra J. Oakley and Nancy M. Ashby; his grandchildren, Zachary J. Oakley, Dr. Jeremy J. Oakley, Dr. Johanna E. Lightcap, Morgan P. Lightcap, James C. Ashby III, Dr. Jack T. Ashby, Benjamin Joseph R. Ashby and Lily C. Ashby; and his siblings, Donald W. Morgan (Shirley) and Delores Beede. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
