He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Westrod and Julia Bruncz; and his brother Robert Westrod. He is survived by: his wife Ann Hirs Westrod; his daughter Kimberly W. Bullock (Wyatt) of Millsboro, DE; the mother of his child Candace F. Abbott of Georgetown, DE; his stepdaughters, Robin Lano (Nicholas) of Middletown, DE, Catherine Purdy (Mark) of Lake Orion, MI and Tracey Skahen (Derek) of Springfield, VA; his grandchildren, Kade Bullock, Saige Bullock, Natalie Oliveras (Eliezer), Nicholas Lano, Emily Fraser (Tanner), Hayley Purdy, Melanie Skahen, Stephanie Skahen and Allyson Skahen; his great grandchild Gianna; and his sister Ruth Ann VerCammen (Fred) of Georgetown, DE.
