He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Raymond Allen and Flossie Allen (Fleetwood); his sister Virginia Pegelow (Allen); and his brother-in-law Fred Pegelow. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette S. Allen; his daughters, Bonnie Allen and Kyna Rowe (Greg); his grandchildren, William Ellis (Tiffany), April Callaway (Derik), Rayna McGill (Kevin), Mallory Read (Josh) and Brandon Rowe (Lauren); his nieces, Teresa Wilson (Rudy) and Kaye Moynihan (Larry); his nephew Thomas Pegelow (Reenie); and his caregivers, D'Mitria, Brittany and Sharen. He is also survived by his 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
