He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Hyden, Sr. and Addie Stevens (Voyles); and his brothers, Jerry Stevens, Buch Stevens and Ray Stevens.
He is survived by: his close friend Tina; his son Emerson Wescott Stevens, Jr.; his stepdaughter Lisa Simpson of Nassawadox, VA; and his sister Darlene Stevens of Newport News, VA. He is also survived by 4 step grandchildren.
