Helen E. Cameron Obituary

Helen E. CAMERON, 94, passed away on August 29, 2026 leaving behind a family who will miss her deeply, but who will carry her with them in countless ways for generations to come. She was born in Alberta, Canada in 1932. Daughter of Reverend Albert Marshall and Edith Marshall.

She is survived by her only living child, Catherine Schweigart (George); a sister, MaryAnn Kranbuhl. She also leaves behind many grandchildren; Including Georgie, Rebekah, Bethany, DJ, Kristy, Shannon, Robbie, Kyrstin, and Leah; and many great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Edith Marshall; her brother, John; beloved husband, William; and both sons, Robert and David.

Helen and her husband purchased a chicken farm together, and she continued to farm until she was in her 70s, in Bridgeville, DE. She knew how to find joy in the little things. She enjoyed a good game of UNO or cards, especially gathering around for the handmade Aggravation board game, watching birds, and cheering for the Buffalo Bills and Yankees. She loved having family and friends visit and could find happiness simply sitting together, talking, laughing, and enjoying one another's company. Her dog, Snickers, held a special place in her heart.

Her Bible and her faith were also important parts of her life, providing comfort, strength, and peace.

But perhaps what she loved most was simply her family. The generations that came after her were her legacy the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will continue telling her stories, remembering her laugh, carrying on her traditions, and finding pieces of her in themselves.

There will be an empty place at the table now. There will be games played without her, birds watched without her, Buffalo Bills games cheered on without her, and family visits where everyone will notice that someone special is missing. But she will still be there in the stories we tell, the traditions we continue, the laughter we share, and the love that binds this family together.

She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and so much more. She was loved.

May she rest peacefully, knowing that the love she gave will continue through every generation she leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held at Teen Challenge: Cameron Chapel, 302 North Street, Seaford, DE 19973 on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
