He was predeceased by: his wife Eupha (Polly); his parents, Lawrence Michael and Myrtle Michael (Callaway); and his brothers, Lawrence, Thomas, Joseph and John.

He is survived by: his sister Anna Marie Martin; his sister-in-law Susan (O'Neill); and his stepchildren, Raven Caterini, Karen Schmidt and John Strothers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
