She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy May (Hellyer) and Richard Guy Schirner Sr.; her brother Philip D. Schirner Sr.; her nephew Douglas Schirner; and her close friend Marilyn Lazar.
She is survived by: her siblings, Richard Guy Schirner Jr. of Pennsylvania and Joyce Bozarth (Don) of New York; and her children, Ronald Luster (Amy) of Newtown, PA, Donna Schafer (Gregory) of Fairless Hills, PA, Shirley Holmes of Pittsburgh, PA and Bobbi Johnson (Denny) of Laurel, DE.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many dear nieces and nephews.
An avid seamstress, she generously provided alterations for family and friends and found purpose in sewing masks for others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Shirley's spirit by donating your time to someone in need.
