He is survived by : his wife Octavia Johnson-Fooks; his stepchildren, Aubrie Johnson and Montez Johnson; his sisters, Sharon Bucknor (Renison), Terether Barton and Selene Carson; his aunts, Ernestine Scott, Bertha Phillips and Ella Russell; his uncle Willie Barton (Josephine); his friend Gregory "Lou" Louis; and his cousin Darrin Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
