He was predeceased by: his parents, Magelanna Maaskant and Van Der Varrt; and his wife Catherine T. Maaskant. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Smith (Corey) of Selbyville, DE; and his former wife Ruth E. Hauf. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roxana Cemetery (32634 Gum Rd, Frankford, DE 19945).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
