It is with sadness that the passing of David Hanna (Townsend, Delaware) is shared. David, born on May 19, 1960, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
David will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor David by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though David is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. David’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Marshall and Nancy Florence Hanna (Thorp); and his grandmother Nellie Virginia Thorp. He is survived by: his sons, David Matthew Hanna (Julia), Daniel Marshall Hanna (Amelia) and Christopher Albert Hanna (Liz); and his grandsons, Ryder Marshall Hanna, Zavier Axton Hanna, Lucas Sebastian Hanna and Elwood Mac Hanna.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blackbird Community Center (120 Blackbird Forest Rd, Townsend, DE 19734).
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family suggests donations be made in memory of David Hanna to the BCC Christmas Gifts for Kids Fundraiser.
