He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jong (Van Veen) and Adrian A. J. De Jong; his son Ryan De Jong; and his brother Edward De Jong. He is survived by: his wife Karen De Jong; his daughter Sarah Eggleston (Charlie); his granddaughters, Ryann and Jordan; and his sisters, Joanne De Jong (Samuel Cattlett) and Terry Lynch (Mark). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
