Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, Charles was the son of the late Elizabeth (Storz) and Calogero "Charles" Insalaco. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from King's College. A dedicated and accomplished professional, Charles served as Chief Financial Officer at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals until his retirement.
Charles was a man of intellect, curiosity, and quiet strength. He was a lifelong reader who found joy and wisdom in the pages of a good book. He was also the storyteller of the family - keeper of memories and family lore. His vivid recollections of the early history of the Insalaco family and tales from his own childhood brought the past to life for those lucky enough to listen. Whether he was sharing funny moments, hard-earned lessons, or the details of a simpler time, his stories connected generations and kept family traditions alive.
Above all, Charles was a devoted family man. He cherished time spent with his loved ones and found joy in the simple pleasures of life—traveling with his beloved wife Megan, experimenting in the kitchen, playing golf, and bringing laughter to any room with his quick wit and warm humor.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Megan Insalaco, and his sister, Elizabeth (Larry Brogna). He is survived by his daughters, Dannielle, Megan (Ted Pearcy), and Jennifer (Robert Wright). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Nicholas (Cassandra Sparrow), son of Dannielle, and Charlotte, daughter of Megan and Ted. Charles also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and close family friends, all of whom he loved dearly.
