He is survived by: his children, Danielle Wright of Maryland, Erin Ewing of Delaware, Tobias Potts of Delaware, Daniel Potts of Delaware, Delani Potts of Delaware, Khadijah Potts of Delaware and Roger Potts of Delaware; his siblings, Robert Wright, Thomas Wright, Dorothy Wright and Phyllis Boney; and his close friend Angel Boardley. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

“Daniel Wright was the most beloved person that my husband, Alfred, and I knew. He had a heart of gold and never complained. When I asked him, Daniel how are you doing? His response was always," Can't complain." He was far from being a wealthy man but he seamed to help the people who were more needy. He would go out of his way for his family and friends. He was the most trusted handyman and friend. We will surely miss him. Very sad that you have left us. Love, Nelly and Alfred Marzouk.”
