The family announces the passing of David L. Haan of Wilmington, Delaware on August 11, 2026. David, born on August 20, 1940, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

David will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor David by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though David is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. David’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Haan and Minnie Haan; his wife Emily Joyce Haan (Metts); and his brother Daniel Haan. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Kendig (Jerry), Kim Haan (David) and Scott Haan (Patti); and his brother-in-law Dave Metts (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
