He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Henry and Eliza Henry; his son Sean Owens; his brothers, Calvin, Reubin II (Doc) and Jonathan Henry (Joe); and his siblings-in-law, James Byrd, Al Boykin and Helen Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Shelia Henry, Carmen Backus Roscoe (Casey), Valerie Backus, Gregory Henry, Winfred "Byrd" Backus, Quentin Mosley, Lewis Owens, Maurice Backus (Monk) and Floyd II Backus (Pooch); his siblings, Bernice Boykin of Bay Minette, AL, Pat Byrd of Houston, TX and Clyde Henry (Margaret) of Fort Worth, TX; his sister-in-law A. Teresa Henry of Wilmington, DE; and his friend Trudy Backus. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends.
