He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Matarese and Marguerite Matarese (McLaughlin); and his siblings, George, James Matarese, Rosemary Dougherty, Kathleen Hayes, Janet DeGregory and Theresa Longobardi.
He is survived by: his children, Frankie Matarese (Ellie), Tracey Damiani (Jimmy) and Deana Gravenor (Tommy); his grandchildren, Mikey (Julia), Vinnie (Becca), Hannah, Vickie (Sean), Gage and Ava; his great grandchild Elliott; his fiancée Anne Wheeler; and his brother Joseph Matarese. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
