With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frederick G. Mergenthaler Sr. of Wilmington, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Mergenthaler (O'Neil) and Charles F. Mergenthaler; his wife Helen D. Mergenthaler; and his children, Daryl, Frederick Mergenthaler and Helen Schoengarth.
He is survived by: his children, Dain Mergenthaler (Janine) and Tammy Quig (Michael); his daughter-in-law Deborah Mergenthaler; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Roddy, Todd, Brent, Mike, Cody, Poppy and Erin; his great grandchildren, Daryl III, Landon, Blake, Reagan, Shandi, Juliana and Brady; his girlfriend Mary "Mickey" Decino; Miguel and Marta Lopez. He is also survived by sons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
