He is survived by: his wife Pamela Newby; his children, Gary Newby Sr. (Alethieia) and Betty Newby (Ronald); his godson Michael Moore; his son Reginald Harris; his grandchildren, Lenday Mathis (TayShon), Ky'Ree Harris (Paradise), Jaheim Harris, Gabrielle and Gary Newby III; his great grandchildren, Malaysia and Maddison Cruz; and his brother Selvy Chesson.
