We are sad to announce that on September 5, 2025, at the age of 90, Geneva Virginia Porter of Wilmington, Delaware passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Penn Porter and Hugh G. Porter; her siblings, Hugh Porter Jr., Harold Porter, Vincent Porter, Vivian Pope, Marie Porter, Rev. Laverne Harris and Louise Porter; Hugh G. Porter.
She is survived by: her brothers, Rev. Anderson Porter and Wyndham Porter (Gail); her siblings' children, Laura Chassott (Emanuel), Shelia Harris and Rev. Derrick E. Porter (Michele); and her great-nieces, Sheree Williams, Madeline G. Porter, Rose C. Porter, Beverly Dow and Shirley Jackson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the DeBaptiste Funeral Homes, Inc. (600 E Market St, West Chester, PA 19382). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
