She was predeceased by: her parents, John Howell and F. Eleanor Howell; her son Edward Dean Rodgers, Sr.; and her sister Hattie E. Dunn. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Stephen Scott, Edward Dean Rodgers, Jr., Yvette and Dejohn Scott; her siblings, William E. Howell (Anna) of Springfield, MA and Margaret H. Moore (Wilfred, Sr.) of Wilmington, Delaware.; her niece Antoinette Potts; her nephews, Charles Dunn, Marcus E. Spencer, Jr., Michael Dunn, Charles E. Howell and Wilfred R. Moore, Jr.; her cousins, Shelvia Eileen Johnson of Wilmington and Catherine Polk White of Mobile; and her friend Zenola Cooper of Washington, DC..
