She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Stanford and Viola Stanford; her spouse Pernest O Holden; and her siblings, Leroy Stanford, Rayfield Stanford, Quenton Stanford, Lester Stanford, Lonnie Stanford, Mary Stanford and Janice Brooks.

She is survived by: her children, Dwight Holden (Victoria), Dorthea Alston (Otis), Damon Holden and David Holden (Monica); her pets, Brownie and Bella; and her sisters, Lillian G Holmes, Geraldine Stewart, Shirley Anderson and Faith D Green. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

She also worked at the Brandywine Racetrack as a cleaner, and was a cashier for the Thrift Store for the Cancer Foundation.
