With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Granville E. Sweeny Jr. of Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on April 22, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Granville Sweeny and Margaret Sweeny; and his siblings, Charlotte, David and Brehon.
He is survived by: his wife Susan M. Sweeny; his daughter Darlene Ferdig (Steve); his stepchildren, John R. Humphrey (Johanna) and Lauren M. Welling (Brandon); his grandchildren, Ansel, Ethan, Landon and Cameron; and his brothers, Joe Britz (Gail) and Lenny Britz.
