He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Vinson and Lorrain McKinney Vinson; his grandparents, Julia and Herman; his former spouse Cleo McKinney; and his brothers, Charlie Jr. and Jerome.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa (Ernest), Laverne E, Michell McKinney, Kimberly Jackson and Brian Jackson of Wilmington, Delaware; his siblings, Rollon McKinney (Gwendolyn) of Wilson, NC, William McKinney (Beverly) of Baltimore, MD, Allen Vinson (Gwendolyn) of Eden, MD, Melvin Vinson (Frances) of Aurora, CO, Irene Vinson of Salisbury, MD and Engrette; his uncles, Luther Sr., Rollon Sr. and Joe; and his aunt Dorothy (Noonie). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
