We are sad to announce that, on October 13, 2022, at the age of 95, James J. Dougherty of Wilmington, Delaware passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Patrick Dougherty and Elizabeth Dougherty (Mullin); his significant other Anne Babiarz Dougherty; his daughters-in-law, Victoria Dougherty (Lane) and Cathy Dougherty (Gallagher); and his grandson Aaron Dougherty.

He is survived by: his children, James (Karol), Robert (Randi), John (Barbara), Thomas (Darla), Marianne Shaw, Kathleen Giofre (Mike) and Terrence; and his caregivers, Edith, Love, Elaine and Doc. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
