He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Johnson and James McIntosh; his son Corey Jamar Hunter; and his grandson Shawn "Arch" Costen. He is survived by: his wife Dena Handy McIntosh; his siblings, Ronald Coston (Lawanda), Helen Berry (Keith), Lisa McIntosh (Leroy), Barbara Ann Watson and Dorthea Handy (Frank); his children, James Brittingham (Stella), Gregory "Bill" Handy (Naadiyah), Vearner Handy, Sondrea Dawkins (James), Michael Costen, Tanaeya Costen, Nafis Handy, Anees Handy and Tawfiq Handy; his niece Ah'Shanti Patrick; and his close friend Donell Booker. He is also survived by grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and family and friends.
