With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet R. Harkins of Wilmington, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 22, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hanson and Julia Hanson; her grandson Ryder; her brother James Hanson; and her husband John J. Harkins Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, John J. III, Joseph and Jeremy (Sara Shinn); and her grandchildren, Amber, Zack, Brennen, Hunter, Mia and Teagan. She is also survived by her family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Food Bank of Delaware, 222 Lake Dr., Newark, DE 19702.
