We are sad to announce that, on March 2, 2024, at the age of 81, Jean Scalessa (Wilmington, Delaware), born in Penns Grove, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Stephano and Edith Stephano. She is survived by: her children, Donald Scalessa and Stefanie Scalessa-Whitby (Lou) of John's Military Academy; her siblings, Concetta Dallas, Mary Jane McInnis (Don) and Joseph Stephano; her grandchildren, Alicia Scalessa-Abreu (Jeff), Nicole Scalessa and Donald Scalessa; and her great grandchildren, Cameron Abreu and Lola Abreu.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Capuchin Poor Clare Sisters, c/o St. Veronica Giuliani Monastery, 816 N. Jefferson Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
