She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Moore and Maggie Coley Moore; her brother Thomas Louis Moore; her husband Peter J. Carter; her sons, Thomas Carter (Vivian) of Wilmington, Peter Carter Jr. (Raylene) of Knoxville and Phillip Carter (Sheila) of Bear, Delaware.; her grandchildren, Phillip Jr., Ganob, Peter Ill and Rhonda; her great grandchildren, Kayla, Jayden, Aryanna, Trey and Rhyon; Jessie. She was also cherished by her brother and "Nana", given to her by her grandchildren.
