He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Anne (Heverly) and Charles John Morningred; and his siblings, William C. Morningred (Yvonne), Isobel H. Mack (Donald) and Patricia A. Sharpe.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kitty" Louise Moser (Kitty); his children, John Duane II Morningred (Kathy), Patricia L. Plaster and Sharon M. Morningred; his grandchildren, Michael E. Plaster (Corey Latch), Brandon A. Morningred (Meirav), Erin K. M. Cleary (Brendan) and Sarah E. Morningred (Matthew Brodeur); his great grandchildren, Tyler S. Plaster and Katherine E. Cleary; his brother Daniel H. Morningred (Lois); and his brother-in-law Dale Sharpe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Beloved Church (907 Milltown Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (1105 Cameron Ave, Tyrone, PA 16686). A burial will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
