He is survived by: his wife Deborah Tharan (Ward); his children, John Tharan (Sarah Ponzio), Brian Tharan of Newark and Kristen (Randy Reid); his grandchildren, Brooks, Tatum and Adelynn; and his sister Marie McVey of Lewes, DE..
