He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bennett and Thelma Hackenberry (Kettler); his wife Doris Hackenberry (Glaes); and his sister Nancy Wentzel. He is survived by: his girlfriend Ann Varey; his children, Mark Hackenberry (Barbara) and Kim Brown (Mike O'Connor); his grandchildren, Julia Hackenberry (Clay Hofmockel), Sam Hackenberry and Michael Brown (Jennifer); and his great grandchild Zoey Brown.
