He was predeceased by : his parents, William J. Slavin and Kathleen Jester Slavin; and his brother William (Billy). He is survived by : his daughter Aughtum Slavin Magrane (Dave); and his siblings, Chuck Slavin, Carol Towers, Kathy Littlefield (Bob) and Joyce Aiello (Joe). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home (212 E Justis St, Wilmington, DE 19804). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
