He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Burg (Davis) and Edward Joseph Burg; his daughter Robin Burg; and his siblings, Edward Joseph Burg Jr. and Elsie May Cantera.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Burg and Janice Burg; his grandchildren, Matthew, Laura, Cassandra, Kelly and Brian Jr.; his great grandchildren, Riley and Aiden; his brother Richard Burg; and his brother-in-law Lawrence Cantera. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Joe's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60601.
