It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Larissa S. Kyj (Wilmington, Delaware), who passed away at the age of 73, on September 6, 2023. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Maria Lozynskyj and Evhen Lozynskyj; her grandson Julian; her husband Myroslaw J. Kyj; her children, Olesh Kyj (Jessica), Lada Kyj-Salonidis, Nikolas, Lydia, Maria and Evhen Kyj (Nicole); and her brother Askold Lozynskyj (Roksolana).

She was a loving grandmother who during the pandemic sat with her grandson Nikolas navigating online kindergarten classes.

“I worked with Larissa at Rowan University for many years, and we were research partners for several articles. She was the first person hired at Rowan with a Ph,D. in hand. Larissa treated me as if I were her brother--she cared for me but had no qualms about raising her voice when she thought I needed correction! I missed her when she retired from faculty, and now I will miss her even more. Larissa was a special, caring person whose love for family, Ukraine, and teaching remains inspirational.”
