With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona A. Ellison of Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on March 5, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, James L. Matthews and Leona D. Matthews; her husband Paul M. Ellison; her son Shawn C. Ellison; and her siblings, James Jr., Orlando, Reginald Matthews, Jacqueline, Carmelita Matthews and Bernadette Harris.
She is survived by : her children, Ricardo Matthews (Myrta), Angelo Matthews (Sophia), Kevin Ellison, Keith Ellison (Sheree), Tracy Wilson (Myrtle), Pasua Ellison (Myra) and Jacquelynn Ellison (Leroy); her grandchildren, Angel Parker Street, Aixa Garcia, Jasmin Jones, Jackie Matthews, Janice Aponte, Angelo J. Matthews, Andi Jenkins Williams, Julian Matthews, Morgan Cleveland, Kevin Ellison II, King Ellison, Aaron Henry, Ryan Ellison, Jasmine Ellison, Donnaya Copes and Yorel Stevens; and her sisters, Gloria Conner-Bungy (Charles), Carlotta Barrett and Marquita Matthews. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
