She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Ferretti (Francesconi) and Frank Ferretti; her husband Norman D. Townsend, Sr.; her son Norman D. Townsend, Jr.; and her siblings, Ida McMillin (Arthur), Louis Ferretti (Elva), Emily Colicchio (Nick), Francis Ferretti (Judy), Lena DeAngelo (Sal) and Theresa McGinness (Dave).
She is survived by: her children, David (Anita), Craig (Debbie), Donna Paoli (Nick) and Frank (Dawn); Joyce Townsend. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Beloved Church (907 Milltown Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Marie's memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX, 75284 and the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
