We are sad to announce that, on August 20, 2023, at the age of 94, Marie S. Strickland (Wilmington, Delaware), born in Whiteville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Spencer Stephens and Annie Stephens; her husband James Strickland; and her siblings, Annie Mae Pridgen, Alma Stevenson, Theodosia Nelson, Maenovia Best, Claude Stephens, Cleve Stephens and Wayne Stephens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jamett Lorahann (Vincent) and Sylett Strickland (Kevin); her grandchildren, Wezley, Sydney Garlick and Spencer Heffernan; and her sister Hester Petty.
