She was predeceased by: her father Gordon Melody; her husband James T. Ward; her son James T. Ward Jr.; her stepdaughter Julie Polson; and her siblings, Hugh Melody, Jeanette Snyder and Ralph Melody.

She is survived by: her sons, Gordon F. Ward, Preston A. Ward and Bryan Adam Ward (Deborah). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and 8 great- great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
