She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandson Bryan (Marlene); her husband Manuel; her siblings, Lupe and Edison; her children, Patricia (Bill), Juan Manuel (Iris), Regina (John) and José Fernando (Maria); her grandchildren, Justin, Juan Manuel, Anahí, Nicholas, Juan Fernando, Juan José, Arianna, Jencarlos and Eliana; her parents, Leovigildo and Agueda of Jesús; and her siblings, Betty Maritza and José Leovigildo.
In lieu of flowers, Marlene's family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Capuchin Poor Clare contemplative sisters in Wilmington, who she always requested prayers from, often for family.
