He was predeceased by: his parents, William Boltrek and Jane Boltrek (Watson); his stepmother Rhoda Boltrek; his sister Joan Dearborn; and his niece Jane Boltrek.

He is survived by: his husband Robert Goodhart; and his siblings, Betty Pearsall (John), Barbara Kolb, Regina Kuhl (Richard), Eileen Van Gelder, Patty Modica (Joe), William Boltrek, Jr. (Sheila) and Peter McCloat (Lynn). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael may be made to Carousel Park, Attn: Danette Brock, 3700 Limestone Rd., Wilm., DE 19808 with the notation "In Memory of Michael – Therapeutic".
